Regarding the Postponement of the Students who cannot do Erasmus+ Student Mobility for Studies due to COVID-19

Dear Students,

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, some of our students who had gained right to Erasmus + student mobility for the 2019-2020 academic year were not able to start their mobility or was obliged to cancel the mobility which they had already started. For the probable recovery of losses of our students, 2019-2020 academic year Erasmus + project duration has been extended until 30/09/2021 with the approval of the Turkish National Agency. Thus, a new opportunity is provided to the students selected within the scope of 2019-2020 Project but had to cancel their Spring Term, to postpone and use their Erasmus+ right in the 2020-2021 academic year for one semester at the receiving institiution to which they have been nominated (announcement date 20/03/2019).

In accordance with the decision of ITU Senate dated June 04, 2020 and numbered 737, the right of postponement is possible only after the receiving institution’s approval for each student individually and the calculations to what extent the mobility can be granted and can be completed only at the end of the budget year. For that reason, our students may not be granted at all and so they should take into account this possibility before deciding to go to the mobility.

The students requesting to postpone their Erasmus+ right must submit the petition linked below, by attaching the print out of the confirmation letter issued by the receiving institution, no later than 01/09/2020.

All the best,

ITU Erasmus Office
