The orientation for the new Erasmus students held on the 7th of February was a success in welcoming incoming students to our university. This event provided a thorough introduction to life as an Erasmus student in Istanbul, covering everything from academic and bureaucratic duties to the different facilities throughout campus(es). The day began by having a welcoming speech by Asst. Prof. Ayda Şafak Ağar Özbek, the Associate Coordinator of International Relations Coordinatorship, followed with a comprehensive presentation held by the Incoming Student Advisors, Merve Dursun and Salma Reffat, as well as Samet Muratoğlu from the Students Affairs Office. After the ESN ITU members’ presentation, the day concluded with a campus tour provided by the club members. We hope that this day fully equipped the incoming students for their academic journey at ITU, and is the beginning of cross-cultural, lasting friendships.
