APPLICATION DOCUMENTS
1. Application Form
- You receive it after completing the online application on https://e-ikamet.goc.gov.tr/

For the Guidance for Online Application in Turkish, please click here. - After creating your application form, you need to provide your fingerprints to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management. If you have previously given your fingerprints, visit the migration office to have your criminal record number added to the application form. Please submit your application form, passport, and current student certificate to the following offices to provide your fingerprints.

- Esenyurt District Working Group Presidency,
- Kumkapi Coordination Center,
- Pendik District Working Group Presidency,
- Sultanbeyli District Working Group Precidency.
2. Four (4) Biometric Photographs Compliant with ICAO Standards
- Biometric, on white background
3. Copy of Your Passport (National identity cards are not accepted for the residence permit applications!)
- Copy of the first page (validity date page)
- Copy of the entry stamp page
- Copy of visa (if any)
4. Copy of Residence Permit Card (disregard if you do not have a residence permit card)
5. Student Certificate
- You can take it from Student Registrar’s Office just take a number for Student Certificate first at the entrance of the building from the touch-screen after your course registration.

- If you are staying with a host, the notarized commitment about your stay must be provided.
- The host must have a legal stay in Turkey.
- The host can give commitment to a maximum of two people.
- The host must provide a certificate of residence.
- If the host is a Turkish citizen, a certified civil registry copy (“vukuatlı nüfus kayıt örneği” in Turkish, from e-devlet portal), invoice registered in the name of the host is required.
- If the host is a Turkish citizen and married, his/her spouse must give the commitment too.
If you are staying home with a Rental Contract, notarized copy of the Rental Contract must be provided.
•The Rental Contact must be notarized by the landlord. Please keep your passport with you and go to notary office with the landlord.
- If staying in dormitories, a document proving that you are staying in a dormitory. Dormitory signature circular or a photocopy of the dormitory's tax certificate also required if the document does not have a barcode or QR code.
- If staying in hotels, etc., a document proving that you stayed in these places, a receipt showing the payment for the period of stay and signature circular of the hotel.
- Photocopy of House Deed if you are staying in your own house
is required to be submitted.
8. Valid Health Insurance
- Insurance company with a collaborator/branch office in Turkey
- Private insurance from a Turkish firm
- Turkish Government insurance
- The formular (an inter-government bilateral agreement) approved by Social Security Institution of Turkey (Sosyal Güvenlik Kurumu, SGK) like T/A 11, A/TR 4, CZ/TR 111...
- Should be in Turkish or English
- Should cover all kinds of treatment in Turkey within your study duration (with dates)
* For applying to residence permit, it is required for applicants' health insurances to cover the "Minimum Policy Content".

*Non- Contracted Institutions: Institutions (hospitals, physicians’ offices, and the other health institutions.) do not have an agreement with the insurer.
9. Receipt of payment from Tax Office for Residence Permit Card Fee

- After completing the residence permit application form, you can pay the student residence permit fee by visiting the nearest tax office. Click here for the contact information of all tax offices in Istanbul.
- You can pay the tax debt online through the e-ikamet website & submit the printed payment receipt you receive (you must have completed the application form for the payment button to become active on the e-ikamet website. This button remains active for 15 days on the e-residence website).
