KA131 Traineeship Mobility (Program Countries - Outgoing Students)
Student selections are made by the ITU International Relations Coordination Office of Education and Internship Mobility Office, within the framework of the selection criteria specified in the 2023 Erasmus+ Application Handbook and the decisions of the ITU Senate. Students who apply even though they do not meet the necessary conditions will not be included in the evaluation process.

The evaluation criteria are explained below:

* Students who have recently enrolled in master's and doctoral programs and whose General Weighted Grade Point Average (GPA) has not been reached must upload the latest transcript showing their 2022-2023 spring semester registrations (even if it does not include GPA) and the transcripts of the department/program they most recently graduated into the system.

Foreign Language Level

Regardless of the native language of the preferred institution, only English language scores will be evaluated in selection and placement within ITU.

As the lower limit for the foreign language score, a score of 65/100 corresponding to the B1 level in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) must be met.

YDS (5 Years), YÖKDİL (5 Years), TOEFL (2 Years), PTE (2 Years) and ITU Proficiency (2 Years) exam result documents that have not expired will be accepted as English language documents. No exam results or certificate, diploma, or placement test results other than this exam list will be accepted. Check the link for valid documents and their scores.

-If the placement institution requires a different foreign language certificate, our student must deliver the language certificate to the relevant institution on the specified date, and ITU International Relations Coordination Office Education and Internship Mobility Office has no responsibility in this regard.

Children of martyrs and veterans

+15 points

+15 points will be applied if the original and photocopy of the Martyr/Veteran Family card is presented.

For students with disabilities (provided that the disability is documented)

+10 points

If they document their situation with the Disability Health Board Report, +10 points will be applied. The disability health report must be obtained from public hospitals that the Ministry of Health considers to be fully equipped with the authority to issue disability reports. 

Students for whom protection, care or accommodation decisions have been made

+10 points

+10 points will be applied to students who have received and documented protection, care or shelter decisions within the scope of the Social Services Law No. 2828 and the Child Protection Law No. 5395.  

Submitting an traineeship acceptance letter during the application
(Traineeship end date must be July 31, 2024 at the latest)

+ 10 points

* An acceptance document stating that you have been accepted to the place where you plan to do your internship.
In addition, a 'Suitable' approved initial must be received from your Erasmus Department/Program Coordinator on this document and then the acceptance certificate must be uploaded to the system within the application period. If it is uploaded without approval by your coordinator, it will not be accepted.

* Students must choose the place where they will do their internship and receive an acceptance letter by completing the necessary correspondence. This document will be uploaded to the application system.


* Students who want to do an internship at higher education institutions in countries that are not related to the program should pay attention to the following:
   - Higher education institutions in countries not associated with the program must be recognized by a competent authority in accordance with their national legislation and must have signed a bilateral inter-institutional agreement with the sending institution before the internship activity.

Information that must be included in this document:
- It is within the scope of Erasmus+ Internship Mobility,
- Date range of the internship
       * This period must be at least 60 days; A maximum of 90 days of your internship period will be granted by ITU International Relations Coordination Office Education and Internship Mobility Office.
     * Before determining this date, research how long your visa preparation process will take on average.

- Subject of the internship or internship position
- Institution and place where the internship will take place
- Name, position and contact information of the person giving approval

This includes internships that experience one or more of the following activities: digital marketing (e.g. social media management, web analytics), digital graphics, mechanical and architectural design; application, software and code or website development; installation, maintenance and management of information systems and networks, cyber security, data analytics, data mining and visualization; programming, robotics and artificial intelligence training. This does not include general customer service, request creation, data entry or routine office duties. A certified initial on the acceptance letter stating that it is a Digital Traineeship must be received from your Erasmus Department/Program Coordinator on top of your acceptance letter. 

Previous benefit (with or without grant)

-10 points

A 10-point deduction is made from documents that have previously participated in an Erasmus transformation or internship mobility. Those who had not previously performed the appropriate cancellation procedure before insertion and were included in this group.

Participating in mobility in the country of citizenship

-10 points

Students who wish to make traineeship in their program country of citizenship will be deducted by 10 points from their final scores.

Not participating in the mobility without giving notice of waiver in due time despite being selected for the mobility

-10 points

For students who were selected in a previous selection period within the same education level, but did not carry out their activity, without relying on a force majeure, a 10 point reduction is applied for each activity that was not carried out despite being entitled.

Applying for two types of mobility at the same time (reduction applies for the student's preferred mobility)

In case of candidates applying for both Study and Internship mobility at the same time; It will be left to our students' choice in which activity the "10 points" deduction will be applied.

Those who themselves or their first degree relatives receive disaster victim assistance from AFAD

The student, received financial support at the time of application, must submit a document proving it.

*  1st Degree relatives: mother, father, children, spouse.

* Each student selected as an Erasmus+ student must use this right within the department/program he/she has been selected for within the relevant project year. A student who renounces his Erasmus+ right by completing the cancellation procedure for any reason cannot transfer his right to another/next academic year. However, the student may apply to become an Erasmus+ student in later application periods, but will be subject to the application and selection process again.
